The University of the Pacific will host the George and Rosemary Tchobanoglous Water Lecture this week, presented by water law expert Stephen McCaffrey, the Carol Olson Endowed Professor of International Law at UOP. This year’s water lecture is titled “International Water Law in the Anthropocene: How Do We Survive a Legacy of Environmental Dislocation and Disruption?”

McCaffrey is joined by Mary Kay Camarillo, an associate professor of engineering, to discuss the topic of the lecture as well as the legal and practical challenges behind Gov. Jerry Brown’s Delta Tunnels project, which would move water from northern California to southern California.

The event is free and open to the public, with people from the engineering and legal communities invited to meet each other and engage on a matter of Californians' access to water.
