April Davila On Her First Novel, Set On An Ostrich Farm In The Mojave Desert

April Davila’s first novel will be released tomorrow. The novel’s title is "142 Ostriches." It’s set on an ostrich farm in the Mojave Desert.  

Davila lives in Southern California, but her family has roots in Elk Grove. So, why did she decide to write about ostriches?
