6:05 P.M. The Trailhead Fire has grown to 5,595 acres and is 60% contained.
More than 2,100 firefighters remain on the Trailhead Fire Tuesday morning. The blaze burning in Placer and El Dorado counties is at 50 percent containment.
About 2600 structures are still threatened, but mandatory evacuation orders have been replaced with voluntary ones.
Bottle Hill Road, parts of Canyon Creek and Volcanoville Roads are still closed.
The fire has burned abour 5,565 acres along the middle fork of the American River near Todd Valley.
The cause of the wildfire is under investigation.
