Our very first Bach's Lunch concert was held today (June 6th) at noon in Capitol Park near 12th and N.  The music was great, the crowd was fabulous and the weather was perfect.  It's a gorgeous shady spot and there was even a breeze. Flutist Alice Lenaghan and harpist Natalie Cox had the crowd completely enraptured!  Lots of folks brought lawn chairs, blankets and picnics...but there were even more folks who wandered by on their lunch hour, stopped for a moment to listen, then stayed.  The music ranged from classical favorites by Bach and Gluck to lovely folk melodies from the British Isles.  The musicians chatted about the music in between pieces, so it was all very informal and friendly.

We'll be doing these Bach's Lunch concerts every Friday in June this summer, so I hope you can come down and join us.  The concert is free, you can bring your own lunch or you can order a lunch online and we'll have it there for you.  Find out all the details at www.capradio.org/lunch
