The Sacramento City Council will consider the Finance Department's most recent budget proposal Tuesday. That's not all that's on the council agenda.
At its meeting this week, the council is scheduled to review a new version of the proposed budget and suggest funding and spending alternatives.
The council has asked the police and fire departments to submit plans for more officers and employees to staff a fire truck and an ambulance.
Besides the budget, the council will hear a presentation on four possible site locations for new housing between the American River and U.S. 50.
There is also plan to refurbish the Marina Vista and Alder Grove public housing communities. The City says the housing units are too small, too old and unsafe.
