Andrew Nixon produced multimedia content for Capital Public Radio's website and other digital platforms. He focused on health care stories, producing compelling visual content using video, still photos, panoramas, motion graphics, timelines, and infographics. He was always seeking out new methods and technologies that will help him tell powerful stories.
An experienced photojournalist, Nixon brings his knowledge of the region and its issues to the stories he works on. As a staff photographer for Gold Country Media, he developed a visual style that translates well to video and web-only platforms, including interactive multimedia.
Nixon received his degree in economics from California State University, Sacramento, where he produced his senior research project on public health. His knowledge of economic issues serves his ability to seek out and critically analyze stories.
Nixon was easy to identify among the Capital Public Radio staff. He's the one with all the cameras who's fond of using outdated slang.
