Sarah Hoover
Member Services Coordinator And Freelance Music Writer
Sarah heard an episode of This American Life in high school and was instantly hooked on public radio—especially news and human-interest programs. More than a decade of performing in symphonic and marching bands made her an avid Music Station listener too. As an editor of her high school paper and a reporter for The Davis Enterprise and The Daily Californian, she combined her love of writing and of music, covering local performing groups in Davis and Berkeley.
While a student at UC Davis, Sarah began volunteering at Capital Public Radio. After graduating with a degree in U.S. History in 2012, she began working full time in the Membership Department, where she thoroughly enjoys bonding with members and volunteers over a mutual love for public radio.
When she’s not working or listening to NPR podcasts, Sarah spends her time being active outdoors, frequenting local trivia nights, seeking out great concerts, and perfecting her baseball scorekeeping technique during Giants games.
