Chris Bruno
Chief Marketing & Revenue Officer
Chris Bruno is the Chief Marketing & Revenue Officer at CapRadio. He is responsible for defining and implementing strategic communications and development initiatives that increase brand visibility, audience loyalty and revenue growth. He oversees the marketing, development, membership, corporate support and product functions of the organization.
Since joining CapRadio in 2018, Chris has been a champion of cross-team collaboration and innovation at the station. As the Director of Marketing, notable achievements included leading the organization through a rebranding, orchestrating the most successful fundraising campaign in CapRadio’s 40+ year history, launching the station’s two biggest podcasts (TahoeLand and Mid Pacific) and creating a cross-functional digital fundraising team that tripled email donation revenue in two years.
Chris also played a critical role in navigating the station through its 2023-2024 financial crisis, where he led strategic communications, spearheaded the optimization of programming interstitials — promotional space between programs — unlocked nearly $1M in new on-air donor recognition opportunities on the news and music stations, and developed and implemented a new organizational structure to improve the marketing and revenue functions at the station.
Chris became the Chief Marketing & Revenue Officer in 2024. He has 15 years of marketing experience across a number of industries, including as the founder of a digital media startup designed to empower student voices. He has previously served on the board of Empower Yolo (formerly Yolo Center for Families), founded the Cal Aggie East Bay Network and served on the Chapters Committee for the Cal Aggie Alumni Association. Chris is a graduate of the University of California at Davis.
