She also compiled research and produced memos to support project reporting.
After her fellowship at CapRadio, Erica returned to New York City and began working with Spaceship Media, whose mission is to reduce polarization, build communities, and restore trust in journalism. She was also an engagement fellow at THE CITY— NYC’s non-profit news organization that focuses on local accountability news as well as collaborative newsmaking in underserved communities. She earned a Masters in Social Journalism Program at the CUNY Graduate Center School of Journalism and received an award for excellence in engagement reporting. Before her pivot to journalism, Erica was an actor, producer and co-founder of Seed&Spark, a revolutionary crowdfunding and streaming platform. She also co-created the critically acclaimed adult sex ed series F*ck Yes— with over 15 million views. Currently Erica is co-directing a feature documentary on the infant adoption industry in the US. She has a big heart and a curious brain that seeks out the messier sides of life.
