Gregory Allen is an intern with Capital Public Radio’s Insight program. Gregory graduated from California State University, Sacramento, in December 2014 with a degree in Journalism. He plans to pursue a career in broadcast as a radio producer or television news reporter.

    A program at the Sacramento County Animal Shelter gives pit bulls special socialization training to help them become adoptable. Volunteers say they're also hoping to improve the breed's reputation.
