Shirlee Tully joined the CapRadio team in the newly created position of Chief Development and Brand Officer. She entered the world of public media in utter amazement at her new colleagues’ dedication to bringing fresh perspectives to curious audience members across all our platforms.
Tully joined CapRadio after more than 7 years at the Sacramento Region Community Foundation as Chief Marketing and Development Officer. Prior to the Foundation, she spent 21 years in corporate marketing for Comcast and AT&T Wireless after her first career as a professional ballerina.
During that time, she has indulged her love of working collaboratively towards community progress by serving on numerous nonprofit boards, including the Rotary Club of Sacramento Foundation, Planned Giving Forum of Greater Sacramento, American Leadership Forum-Mountain Valley Chapter, E. Claire Raley Studios for the Performing Arts, Sacramento Ballet, and United Cerebral Palsy Association of Greater Sacramento. She is a member of the Rotary Club of Sacramento and a Senior Fellow of the local American Leadership Forum chapter.
Tully graduated Phi Beta Kappa, magna cum laude from Georgetown University, holds a Master’s in Business Administration from CSU, Sacramento and was among the first in Sacramento to receive the Chartered Advisor in Philanthropy® designation from the American College.
Her favorite people on earth are her son and daughter, who have both launched onto their own paths recently, and never fail to inject humor in any situation. Outside of work and family, you will find Tully obsessed with making the perfect meal for friends or hanging out on her yoga mat trying to learn patience and acceptance of all that being human entails.
