Sacramento, CA – November 19, 2018 – Capital Public Radio, in collaboration with American Leadership Forum – Mountain Valley Chapter (ALF-MVC), presents The Drive, a podcast that takes an inside look at the personal lives of leaders from around the Sacramento region.
Hosted by Katie McCleary, Founder of the non-profit 916 Ink and Principal of Paper Wings Creative, The Drive explores the moments that made leaders who they are today and the lessons they learned along the way.
"These are compelling conversations with something for everyone, whether you’re a leader, an aspiring leader or just want to find new ideas for navigating life,” says Joe Barr, CapRadio’s Chief Content Officer.
The podcast is structured around discovering the driving forces of these leaders by delving into their past experiences and hearing the personal stories that shaped their lives. Ms. McCleary converses and engages with the guests to draw a vivid picture of their stories to better understand who they are and how they got there.
“Presented by CapRadio, The Drive was created to capture the defining moments of ALF’s most diverse leaders across the Sacramento region,” explains ALF-MVC CEO Bonnie Ferreira. “What drives them? We believe leadership is a journey of self-awareness and continuous development that’s curious, generous and generative in nature. We hope listeners are inspired by the stories they hear and feel safe to explore what drives them to lead.”
The six-episode series launched Thursday, November 15 and will offer weekly episodes that are available here. The Drive features guests such as artist William Ishmael, veteran political consultant Cassandra Walker Pye and Sacramento Police Chief Daniel Hahn.
