CapRadio Launches SacramenKnow Newsletter
Claire Morgan and Janelle Salanga will produce SacramenKnow, a new twice-a-week newsletter that offers a more personal and digestible way to stay informed, involved and entertained.
Sacramento, CA – June 12, 2023: CapRadio is thrilled to announce SacramenKnow, a newsletter that lets readers join Claire Morgan and Janelle Salanga as they embark on a journey to explore the region, discover activities in the community and share moments of joy along the way. The first newsletter will go out on June 13, with new issues sent every Tuesday and Thursday morning. A sample newsletter is available here.
Twice a week, the newsletter will offer an in-depth story and the latest information on what's happening in Sacramento, looking at what’s going on, why it's important and how to get involved. Readers will also receive some fun tidbits about local legends and fascinating Sacramento tales, as well as opportunities to engage with Claire and Janelle — and make submissions that will be featured in the newsletter.
“I’m so excited to share SacramenKnow with our community,” said Morgan. “As we've worked on developing this newsletter, I’ve reflected a lot on how I talk about what’s going on in Sacramento with my friends and family — I want our readers to feel like they’re having a similar type of conversation with me.”
“I’ve loved getting to know the Sacramento region through talking with the people who make it and call it home, and I’m so excited to continue the conversation in SacramenKnow,” said Salanga. “So many morning routines — like mine — include reading newsletters, and I’m hoping SacramenKnow can be a useful addition to people’s newsletter rotation.”
Developed for people who are looking for connection and belonging in the place they call home while balancing a busy lifestyle, SacramenKnow is designed as a mobile-first offering that is quick to read and easy to skim. It also has a distinct voice that provides a more personal and informal experience with the intention of being accessible, relatable and down to earth for casual and passive news consumers.
“SacramenKnow is an important milestone for us as we continue to evolve our multiplatform offerings by understanding our audiences’ needs and delivering services that resonate with key segments,” said Vijay Singh, director of product and strategy at CapRadio. “I’m proud of the work that Claire and Janelle put into developing this newsletter through an audience-first lens, as well as their collaboration with our product and marketing teams to make it a reality.”
