The Senator’s spokesman Greg Hayes told The Sacramento Bee, de Leon assumes it’s related to the recent FBI raid on Democratic Senator Ron Calderon’s offices. Both Senators represent the Los Angeles area.
“Yesterday I received a subpoena requesting information from the US Attorney’s office in Los Angeles,” stated Senator de León. “I’ve communicated to the US Attorney’s office my willingness to cooperate fully. The US Attorney’s office has asked that the details of their inquiry remain confidential. I intend to honor that request.”
