RagingWire Data Centers operates facilities, in both Natomas and Ashburn, Virginia, where large corporations keep their multi-million dollar computer servers. RagingWire offers them: power, cooling and physical security.
Japanese company NTT Communications is acquiring 80% of RagingWire for $350 million.
But RagingWire's Doug Adams says the company will not change.
"We are not going to be absorbed into one of the NTT entities, we will remain a stand alone company," said Adams. "The management team and employees of the company will all remain, in fact we're going to grow. They're creating us as a platform for their U.S. data center sales."
RagingWire employs 300 people. Two-thirds of them work out of the Natomas site.
