There's joy that the Kings have new owners, but apprehension as to what business will be like when the Kings move to a new arena downtown.
Shyam Gadhia manages the Mountain Mike's Pizza at the corner of Truxel Road and Arena Boulevard. He says last year during pre-season games, 35-to-40 people were in his restaurant. But this year...

Gadhia says he'd like to see a baseball and softball complex go into the space where Sleep Train Arena is now.
Around the corner from Mountain Mikes, Vyvyan Dang manages Glamour Nails and Spa. For now, she's happy to see the increased business the Kings bring.

She says she'll wait and see what replaces the arena before making any plans.
Other business owners are already thinking about moving. Bimal Dwarka owns GetaCut and counts some of the Kings account executives and assistant coaches as clients. He's a Kings fan.
"I bought my house in Natomas because of them and I only have a three-year lease here at this location,” Dwarka says. So, we'll see when that comes."
According to the City of Sacramento, the new downtown arena is on schedule to open in October of 2016.
