Organizers say protests were held at over a thousand stores nationwide. Locally they estimate about 150 people showed up to rally for higher wages for Walmart employees.
Protestor Meiasha Bradley has worked at Walmart for three years and said sales associates should earn at least $25,000 a year.
"We all feel, nationwide, that, Walmart, you're a billion dollar company. You can treat your associates better than what you do," she said.
Walmart has over a million people working in sales. It said hundreds of thousands already earn at least $25,000.
Walmart said business at the Roseville store was not affected by the protest.
