Time is running out for farmers and ranchers to apply for loans, crop insurance and other help from the federal government.
Josh Eddy is with the California Department of Food and Agriculture which is teaming with the U.S. Department of Agriculture to put on the workshops.
"These assistance programs have a variety of deadlines that are fast-approaching and so we wanted to definitely get the word out about the resources that are available."
February 28th is the deadline to apply for federal crop insurance programs.
"And for some equipped funding that can help farmers transition to drip irrigation systems, we're looking at deadlines of March 3rd."
A total of five workshops will be held in rural communities stretching from Redding to San Diego.
Last week, President Obama promised more than $170 million in federal aid for drought-stricken California.
