Republican gubernatorial candidate Neel Kashkari says he has just under $1.5 million in the bank as he enters the California primary campaign’s final stretch.
He’s raised $4 million since he entered the governor’s race in January -- half of that, he donated himself.
Kashkari is spending that money on TV ads and mailers in hopes of overcoming Tea Party Assemblyman Tim Donnelly’s advantage in polls.
Donnelly has $70,000 dollars in the bank. He's raised $450,000 since the beginning of the year.
Democratic Governor Jerry Brown’s campaign reports it has more than $20 million cash-on-hand.
