Jason Clapp is a Meteorologist with the National Weather Service in Sacramento. He says triple digit heat will be widespread.
""105 downtown, 104 at Exec airport," says Clapp. "Similar, 105, 106 up in Redding and Red Bluff, 105 for Stockton and Modesto. Yeah, it's going to be hot."
Clapp says yesterday's high in downtown Sacramento was 104. He says it hit 107 in the Capay Valley, in Western Yolo County.
There's a red flag warning in effect for the region, due to the high temperatures, low humidity and breezy conditions. That means fire danger is increased.
Klapp says it'll start to cool down a little bit tomorrow, but will still be around 100 degrees in Sacramento. He says Wednesday temperatures will be back in the 80's and 90's.
