California state Senator Leland Yee was back in court again Thursday. He pleaded “not guilty” for the second time on charges based on an FBI corruption sting.
Last Friday, the U.S. Justice Department filed a “superseding indictment” against Yee accusing him of racketeering in addition to the bribery and corruption charges filed in March.
Yee is a San Francisco Democrat who will be termed out at the end of the year. He’s still earning his state salary despite being suspended by the Senate.
