There's a significant closure on Interstate 80 starting Tuesday night in Placer County - and the detour is a long one.
Interstate 80 will close at Magra Road to all traffic from 10:30 p.m. to 5 a.m. both Tuesday and Wednesday night. A 56-mile detour will be in effect.
It's part of the "Raise 80" project, which involves raising the clearance of a number of overcrossings.
