Crews have made significant progress against two fires in California over the weekend.
The 311-acre Dog Rock Fire in Yosemite National Park is now 95 per cent contained.
State Highway 140 into Yosemite has been reopened. The road was closed when the fire started last Tuesday, after an air tanker crashed into a canyon wall, killing the pilot. Pieces of the tanker wreckage had landed on the road.
And the Applegate Fire along Interstate 80 held over the weekend at about 460 acres and is 80 percent contained.
