San Joaquin Regional Transit has rolled out a special Veterans Bus in honor of Veterans Day that will be travelling along Stockton streets.
The bus is painted with the images of soldiers, the flag, and a sign that says "Honoring All Who Served."
General Manager Donna DeMartino says Regional Transit is also giving free 31-day bus passes to veterans and those serving in the military through November.
"So all a veteran has to do is come in and show proof of their service and we will provide a free 31-day pass and as I said we're hoping to expand the program with partnerships from other veterans affairs groups, so maybe we can make this even a longer term program," says DeMartino.
DeMartino says the program will especially help young veterans with transportation for work, education, and health care.
