Joan Burke with Loaves and Fishes says they're asking the public for turkeys, pies and canned vegetables.
"We're in the home stretch. Sacramento comes through for us every year. But we get a little bit worried because we haven't started receiving the number of donations that we'll need."
Burke says that includes: 300 turkeys, 400 store bought pies, 100 gallons of apple juice, and hundreds-of-cans of green beans and cranberry sauce. She says people can drop off donations at the Loaves and Fishes site on North C Street.
"We also welcome donations of warm hats and gloves and winter jackets and we give those out to try and help people make it through now that...especially as the nights are getting colder."
The Thanksgiving meal will be served next Tuesday at 11 AM.
