Forecasters say there'll be patches of rain and snow across the Sacramento Valley and the Sierras through the weekend. Holly Osborne is with the National Weather Service in Sacramento. She says we can expect a series of small storms starting Wednesday.
"We're looking at overall through Saturday around Sacramento, we might get around three quarters of an inch."
Osborne says the ski resorts can expect about half-a-foot of snow around the peaks, down to about the 5,000 foot elevation. She also says temperatures will stay cold enough for ski resorts to keep any artificial snow on the slopes.
