(AP) -- Protesters briefly shut down two major freeways, vandalized police cars and looted businesses in a second night of unrest in downtown Oakland Tuesday night.
The crowd briefly shut down Interstates 580 and 980 last night in protests against a Missouri grand jury's decision not to indict a white police officer in the fatal shooting of a black teenager.
The Oakland Police Department estimated there were 350 people participating in the protests.
In downtown Los Angeles a few dozen protesters ran on to the 101 last night, carrying barricades and stopping traffic in both directions. They were chased off the freeway a few minutes later.
Protesters also blocked a freeway in San Diego.
In San Francisco, about 40 demonstrators holding signs that read "Arrest Darren Wilson" protested in the Mission District.
