The California Department of Fish and Wildlife has made it easier to report poachers and polluters.
Fish and Wildlife Captain Pat Foy says, you can now use a smart phone to email or text information to the department.
"In only a matter of a few hours after we activated it we got our first tip off of our website on someone who thought they had seen someone poach a bald eagle."
Foy says anyone sending in a tip should provide a description of the crime, the suspect, and the license on the suspect's boat or car.
The department says it had been receiving two tips a day. It's now receiving a tip an hour.
