A new survey shows Governor Jerry Brown has solid support from a majority of California voters.
According to the latest Field Poll, 56 percent of the state's voters approve of the Governor's performance in office, and 32 percent disapprove.
A majority of respondents agreed that Governor Brown "deserves credit for turning around the states finances."
It wasn't all positive though: 57 percent of the voters polled think the Governor "favors too many big government projects that the state cannot afford right now."
[Jerry Brown's approval numbers are down slightly from their peak at 59 percent approval in April 2014.]
[The Field Poll surveyed more than 12-hundred registered voters by phone in six languages across the state-- during the first part of this month.]
