Nevada legislative committees will be considering more than 35 bills Friday. We take a look at some of the highlights of what promises to be a busy day. The issue of mental health is on two committee agendas. One bill would establish a toll-free state-wide mental health crisis line. Another would require faster transmission of mental health records to police. The goal is to prevent gun sales to the mentally ill. Also in committees today a definition of obesity and requiring an annual state report on the condition. Lawmakers will consider setting the minimum font size for printed election materials and they will consider a process for dissolving cities in severe financial emergencies.
