Some scattered showers are in the forecast for the Sacramento Valley and throughout Northern California Thursday.
ike Smith with the National Weather Service in Sacramento says snow and a bit of rain started falling earlier Thursday.
"The showers are more numerous over the mountains, but we definitely are getting showers here in the Valley as well," says Smith. "Some sprinkles down in Lodi, some thundershowers down in the Galt area. It really is more of a mix of weather today depending on where you are."
This storm isn't forecast to drop much precipitation-- but the National Weather Service has posted a winter weather advisory for elevations above 6,500 feet south of Highway 50.
