(AP) - Prosecutors are expected to announce whether they will seek the death penalty against two men charged with killing a bank robbery hostage and two others in Stockton last year.
Jaime Ramos and co-defendant Pablo Ruvalcaba are due in court Monday. They're charged in the July 16 robbery that turned into a running gun battle with police. Two of the other robbery suspects were killed as well as 41-year-old Misty Holt-Singh, a bank customer.
Ramos is the lone survivor of the three suspected robbers. Ruvalcaba is suspected of driving the men to the bank, but he's also charged with the deaths.
Police say the three armed men robbed the Bank of the West branch, taking two bank employees and a customer as hostages.
The two bank employees were injured but survived.
