Meteorologists say we will get a brief break from the triple-digit temperatures Saturday and Sunday.
Brooke Bingaman with the National Weather Service says temperatures will drop down into the low '90's, possibly the upper 80's. But she says hotter temperatures are forecast for next week.
"Jumping back into the upper '90's by Monday and then possibly again getting close to 100 by Wednesday or Thursday. Because that high pressure it kind of shifts away from us but then it's going to come back towards us next week."
Bingaman says there is a likelihood for storm activity up in the mountains in the higher terrain Friday through the weekend.
