It's going to be a hot few days in the Sacramento Valley.
The National Weather Service says temperatures Tuesday and Wednesday will be over 100 degrees.
Meteorologist David Rowe says people should take precautions and focus any outdoor activities in the morning, during the coolest part of the day.
"Here in the Sacramento region, we're looking at highs probably around 105 to 110, for today and Wednesday and then cooling a bit down to around the century mark on Thursday," says Rowe. "Up in the Northern Sacramento Valley we're expecting even hotter temperatures over the next several days probably in the 110 to 115-degree range."
Cooling in the Sacramento area will happen later in the week, with temperatures forecast to drop back into the 90s in time for the Fourth of July.
