(AP) - State park workers have recovered the body of a man who drowned last week at Lake Natoma.
The Sacramento Bee reports that the man has been identified as Paul Liu of Sacramento. California State Parks workers recovered the 23-year-old's body Tuesday at Negro Bar.
Liu and a group of friends had reportedly jumped from rocks into the water last Thursday. Two of Liu's friends were rescued by kayakers, and one made it to shore on his own. Liu went underwater and didn't resurface.
Another body was pulled out of the American River hours after Liu's body was discovered. Sacramento Fire Department spokesman Chris Harvey says the unidentified body appeared to have been in the water for several days.
