A Sacramento Superior Court Judge has issued a proposed statement of decision against three people who claimed the City of Sacramento and the Sacramento Kings conspired to keep secret the true value of an agreement regarding a downtown arena.
Judge Timothy Frawley found no merit to the allegations that land and parking structures had a greater existing value than stated in an agreement term sheet.
The plaintiffs, members of the group STOP, or Sacramento Taxpayers Opposed to Pork, will have 15 days to file an objection to the judge's preliminary ruling and request a hearing.
The judge is not obligated to schedule such a hearing before he issues his final decision.
Defendants in the case will be entitled to recover their costs related to the lawsuit.
