(AP) - A Union Pacific train carrying consumer goods has derailed near Galt.
KCRA-TV reports officials say 29 of the train's 75 cars derailed Wednesday afternoon.
No injuries have been reported, and officials said the derailment is not considered a hazardous situation.
The train was headed north from Lathrop and its final destination was Proviso, Illinois.
Some of the cars tipped over and are on their side.
The cause of the derailment is under investigation.
There have been no impacts to the Union Pacific train system.
