Several wildfires continue to burn in Northern California. Capital Public Radio continue to monitor these blazes. See our updates below.
Containment on the Lowell Fire near the town of Alta in Nevada and Placer counties has grown to 70 percent. 2,303 acres have burned.
The Wragg Fire burning near Lake Berryessa in Solano and Napa counties is now 85 percent contained. Mandatory evacuations for some areas are still in effect. The wildfire has scorched 7,900 acres and destroyed two outbuildings and damaged three outbuildings and one house. Red Cross Bay Area tweeted Thursday afternoon that the evacuation orders related to this blaze has been lifted. The shelter located at the Ulatis Community Center in Vacaville will be closed.
The Willow Fire in Madera County is now at 3,383 Acres and is 30 percent contained.
In Butte County, the Swedes Fire is at 400 acres and is 60 percent contained.
