Update at 7pm Wednesday: The second batch of results from this Field Poll shows that California voters support raising the minimum wage from $10 an hour to $15, and increasing the state’s cigarette tax by $2 a pack.
Both of those issues drew support from two-thirds of the voters surveyed. The proposals are currently up for debate at the state Capitol, and supporters are promising ballot measures at next year’s general election if the Legislature does not act.

Original story: More California voters support the Affordable Care Act, according to the latest Field Poll.
Sixty-two percent of registered voters now support the Affordable Care Act. That’s a 6 percent jump since last year.
The Field poll also shows for the first time that majorities of voters in all regions of the state, all races and ethnicities and all age groups back the law.
But views of the law remain highly partisan. The survey also found that two in three voters believe the state’s implementation of the law has been successful.
Support is also growing for extending Medi-Cal services to the state’s undocumented residents. Fifty-eight percent of California voters favor the idea. Just 51 percent did last year.
