Rebuilding after any big wildfire is challenging, but it may be especially so in Lake County, one of the poorest in California. The Valley Fire scorched 118 square miles, killed four people and left at least 3,000 homeless in this rural area two hours north of San Francisco. The flames are out now, but the struggle for residents there is far from over.
