Sacramento Metropolitan Fire District crews are battling a two-alarm fire involving multiple homes in North Highlands Tuesday.
The fire was first reported at about 1:45 p.m. on the 5800 block of Georgia Drive coming from a one-story house.
A subsequent tweet from the district indicates that multiple homes are on fire and that power lines are down.
More crews were requested to the scene. According to CBS Sacramento, a fire chief heading to the scene was involved in a crash.
