(AP) - A Sacramento teacher who was caught on video wrestling a student last month has been charged with battery.
The Sacramento Bee reports that 58-year-old David Fritz was arraigned last week on two counts of battery. The McClatchy High School teacher is accused of wrestling a student from his desk to the ground the day before Halloween.
He remains on paid administrative leave.
According to court documents, Fritz is accused of using force and violence against two 15-year-old boys.
A 7-second clip posted on Twitter shows a teacher dressed in sunglasses, a puffy, red, polka dot hat, face paint and a black shirt throwing a student to the ground.
