Caltrans is temporarily closing lanes on southbound Interstate 5 Tuesday near Seamas Avenue for skid testing. The area has been the site of recent crashes.
The right two lanes will be closed from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. and the fast lane will be closed from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Caltrans urges drivers to find alternate routes or expect delays.
On Dec. 10., a Fedex truck lost control and crashed into a truck. One person was killed in the collision.
On Dec. 21, two big rig crashes occurred in the same area. The incidents shut down lanes on both sides of the freeway. One person was transported to an area hospital.
