Elk Grove Police Investigate A Vehicle Crashing Into A Building And Reports Of Gunshots

Elk Grove police officers are investigating a car that drove into a building on Atkins Dr. and Whitelock Parkway. There were reports of shots fired in the area.

Two area schools were briefly placed on a lockdown. 

According to EGPD's twitter several people were detained nearby, but their involvement is unknown at this time.
