The Sacramento County Registrar of Voters says poll workers are needed for upcoming elections.
No prior experience is necessary and training will be provided.
Poll workers are given a stipend for their training and service on Election Day.
To qualify, you must be a resident of California, at least 18 years of age, or a high school student at least 16 years old and in good academic standing.
Prospective poll workers must also be able to read and write English fluently.
The county is also seeking people fluent in Spanish, Chinese, Vietnamese, Tagalog, Hindi, Korean and Japanese to apply.
With their supervisors’ permission, County and State employees can work on Election Day while earning their regular salary plus the stipend from volunteering.
