(AP) - A 10-pound piglet named Janice found wandering the streets of San Francisco earlier this month has a new home.
Janice is now living at the Sonoma County Reptile Rescue in Sebastopol.
The Santa Rosa Press Democrat reports the oinker was spotted running wild on Dolores Street in the city's Mission District on March 8. She was corralled by several good Samaritans and given to the San Francisco Animal Care and Control. Janice's rightful owner never came forward but dozens of people wanted to take her home as a pet.
But with 27 years of experience in reptile care, animal husbandry and conservation, Reptile Rescue founder Al Wolf, who has also worked at the San Francisco Zoo, will now care for Janice.
