Old Soul - the Sacramento-based coffee roasting company and cafe - will open another location near the new downtown arena later this year.
The Sacramento Business Journal's Managing Editor for Digital News, Christopher Arns, says it'll be located at 555 Capitol Mall.
"You can really link this to the development of the arena next door," Arns says. "More businesses are coming down into that area. There really isn't anything like this on Capitol Mall. There are a couple of other cafes but nothing really locally-owned."
The new location is expected to open in September, just ahead of the arena. In addition to coffee and baked goods, the cafe will: serve beer and wine; have outdoor seating; and be open seven days a week.
Capitol Mall will be the fifth location for Old Soul, which also has an R Street venue in the works.
