UPDATE 11:40 a.m.:The school lockdown has been lifted after police checked the area. According to authorities, the suspect fled on foot and the investigation is "very active."
ORIGINAL: Merryhill Preschool in Natomas is currently on lockdown as Sacramento police officers search the area for a shooting suspect.
According to authorities, one person was shot in the 2800 block of Tourbrook Way in Sacramento. The subject sustained non-life threatening injuries.
