Sacramento area real estate data out today show increases in both sales and price.
The numbers are for March. Research firm CoreLogic says the median price of new and existing Sacramento County houses and condos was $295,000. That was up by nearly $12,000 from February and it was an increase of $30,000 from March of last year.
The firm also reports that more than 1,900 homes closed escrow in March, up nearly 5.5 percent from the previous year.
The numbers are even higher for Yolo County, which saw a 14 percent increase in the median price of $360,000 and an 18 percent jump in sales.
Placer County had the region's lowest numbers. The median of $400,000 was up only about 6.5 percent from a year ago and sales were down nearly 4 percent from last year.
