Job-seekers will have about a thousand openings to choose from tomorrow in downtown Sacramento.
Karen Dewal with Hirevent Job Fairs says there will be open positions in health care, law enforcement, education, accounting, maintenance, and sales.
"The variety is increasing. There were industries that were in a lull for a long time that are now starting to recruit again," says Dewal. "So, with that, means a lot more opportunities for everybody out there."
Dewal says there are different levels of work experience required depending on the position.
"We all, even the recruiters, remember the first day of their very first job. So, if you don't have any work experience, it's okay to walk in there and be open and honest with these recruiters and tell them, 'I'm looking for my very first job.'"
She says some companies find it easier to train employees with no background in a particular position.
Hirevent holds six job fairs in Sacramento each year.
Tomorrow's event is at the Masonic Temple on J Street and begins at noon.
